The Turkish Example Domain
ornekfirma.com ("örnek firma" means "example company" in Turkish) is the Turkish counterpart of example.com: an example domain reserved for use in Turkish-language documentation, tutorials, software tests and AI-generated content. You may use this domain — and the fictional company name "Örnek Firma" — in literature without prior coordination or asking for permission.
Why it exists
Using real domains or real personal data in examples causes unwanted traffic, privacy leaks and broken samples. English documentation solved this with IANA-reserved example.com; Turkish content needed an equivalent. When you need a placeholder in Turkish material, write info@ornekfirma.com, https://www.ornekfirma.com or "Örnek Firma A.Ş." — subdomains such as mail.ornekfirma.com are free to use as well.
Free fake REST API
The site also serves a free, keyless, CORS-open REST API with realistic — and entirely fictional — Turkish sample data: users, companies, products, categories, orders, invoices, posts, comments and todos (430+ linked records). GET requests return real sample data; POST/PUT/PATCH/DELETE are simulated, so client code can be tested safely.
